MASS POLIO VACCINATIONS BEGIN - 1955 The new Salk polio vaccine is shipped out to medical centers where families line up with their children to receive vaccination shots offering protection against the crippling disease.
CHEMOTHERAPY & X-RAYS USED IN CANCER TREATMENTS - MONTAGE This montage on the treatment of cancer includes a CU of a nurse's hands injecting an IV catheter for chemotherapy into a patient's arm, CU of two IV catheters then MS pan up from the feet to the head of a woman pushing the IV stand she is hooked up to down a hospital corridor. A doctor (or x-ray technician) examines x-rays for signs of cancer and ECU of clear liquids dripping through an IV catheter.
