They protested the plans for Canada to renew the NORAD agreement with the United States wearing signs that say "Say No To NORAD" and "No STAR WARS".

PRESIDENT FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT OPENS THE NEW BOULDER DAM - 1936 American President Franklin D. Roosevelt opens the newly constructed Boulder Dam (aka Hoover Dam). "In the name of the people of the United States to whom you Boulder Dam are a symbol of greater things in the future and in the honored presence of guests from many nations I call you to life." Hoover's hand is then shown pressing the button on the device that begins the flow of water into the Dam.
BOULDER DAM OPENS - 1936 - AERIAL The waters pour into the newly opened Boulder Dam (aka Hoover Dam) to begin the massive task of filling the dam. Aerial of the dam as it fills up with white water. The new dam was opened in 1936 bringing a new source of power to the United States.
