FIGHTING THE SO-CAL WILDFIRES A Martin Mars water bomber sits in a lake loading water for dropping on forest fires. Meanwhile a DC-10 drops it's fire retardant payload behind the fire line to prevent it's further spread. On the ground firefighters wrestle a hose towards the fire to hit it directly.
