MEYERS WINS THE HILL-CLIMB CLASSIC Chuck Meyers wins the hill-climb classic in Pikes Peak, Colorado in record time. The Penrose Trophy is awarded after a break-neck performance up the hair-pin turns of the world's highest and most dangerous road. Meyers sets a new record completing the ascent in 17 minutes.

IDIANS WORSHIP A NATIVE DEITY Frenzied natives of Puri, India in an annual worship of a giant juggernaut. The "Lord of the World" is escorted to the mammoth car which is pulled through the streets by the devout throngs, regardless of oppressive heat. The occasion is the visit of the idol to his summer home. Hundreds show their faith by dragging the huge vehicle and its image through the streets, from the temple to the country estate. Days are required to move the deity, so slow is its progress along the crowded highways.
