The top of an 8,000-foot mountain--so a million tons of earth and rock thunder down in a titanic landslide--directly across a forest campqround, takinq a heavy toll and trapping hundreds between the heaped rock and a weakened dam upstream. Air Force helicopters evacuate survivors and carry on a grim hunt for victims.
