A modern new building is under construction now--to which is pledged his earnings from his book 'Battle Hymn" and the forthcoming U-I film of the same name.

Shot begins with the Canadian crest and dissolves onto a parchment paper proclamation (which scrolls upward) announcing the "unsung labors of the Canadian Postal Corps...to direct that flow of Fags for Fighting Forces....so essentially needed for the boys over there." Triumphant fanfare music plays in the background. Obviously there is immense comedic potential for this shot.

Dr. Arthur Seyss-Inquart becomes the new Chancellor of Austria as Kurt von Schuschnigg resigns and is imprisoned in Vienna's Belvedere Castle. The Anschluss (Union) is soon completed and crowds everywhere welcome Hitler and his armies with great enthusiasm.
