CAVALCADE WINS 1934 KENTUCKY DERBY Thousands crowd the Churchill Downs for the 60th Kentucky Derby. While the horses race around the track many in the crowd hold their own race trying to get to the next spot to see the action before Cavalcade and jockey Mack Garner win in a sudden burst of speed. Sports announcer Graham McNamee is on hand to describe the spectacular race.

HOLLYWOOD CELEBRATES SPARTACUS PREMIER In Hollywood, a cavalcade of stars comes out to shine for the premier of the film Spartacus, including the leads, Kirk Douglas, Jean Simmons, and John Gavin.
1940 SPORTSMAN SHOW MONTAGE At the Sportsman Show at Grand Central Palace in New York, a colorful cavalcade of sports is presented from log-rolling to fishing, and even trained seals and real Indians.

KOSYGIN ON PORT SAID Soviet Chairman Alexey Kosygin speaks to an enthusiastic Egyptian crowd. People run and jostle to get a view of the convoy carrying Koysygin. Later, he participates in a wreath laying ceremony, returning to view the crowd from a balcony above them. Festive atmosphere of the event is demonstrated by confetti being dropped from the balcony where he stands, and by the enthusisam shown on the faces of the watching viewers.
WOODROW WILSON CAMPAIGNS US President Woodrow Wilson, running for reelection, addresses a huge gathering in a tent decorated with striped bunting and American flags. Outside a statue is decorated with a banner saying: Blessed are the Peacemakers. A cavalcade of vehicles decorated with bunting is seen on a city street lined with flags and enormous crowds.
SPEECH BY A LEBANESE OFFICIAL An important Lebanese official wearing a white suit, perhaps the president Bishara al-Khuri, arrives by cavalcade. He walks along the row of soldiers standing at attention and enters a building surrounded by the press. Inside, he gives a speech to the Parliament standing beneath Lebanese flags.
