WATTS RIOTS OF 1965 - DEAD MAN A police officer rolls the lifeless body of a badly beaten young black man on to his back who has been killed in the 1965 Watts riots over and checks to see if the man is alive. Thirty four people were killed and over a thousand injured during the five day riots.

KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE WAREHOUSE COMPLEX FIRE - 2007 An early morning fire that started at a warehouse complex in Knoxville, Tennessee consumed three warehouses and injured four fire fighters before it was brought under control. NEW YORK CUNARD LINE PIER FIRE - 1932 A rubbish fire under the Cunard Line Pier (later renamed Pier 54) becomes one of the most notorious blazes of 1932. More than 400 fire fighters are injured during their four-day fight to put out the flames. The only death is Lieutenant Colonel Ralph A Kluge, the original designer of the pier.
80TH ANNUAL MACY'S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE - 2006 The 80th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York features bands, floats and its famous giant balloons as well as a dose of rainy weather that fails to stop the parade. The first parade was held in 1924 with the balloons joining the annual event four years later.
