THE EMPEROR OF ETHIOPIA GOES INTO EXILE - 1936 Emperor of Ethiopia Haile Selassie I and the royal family and close friends seek sanctuary from the British with the defeat of Ethiopia to Italian troops. The royal party disembark from a British ship in Palestine then board a train. The Emperor would spend the next five years in exile returning to Ethiopia in 1941 only after Italy's defeat by United Kingdom and Ethiopian patriot forces.
THE LION OF JUDAH DEMANDS JUSTICE FROM THE LEAGUE OF NATIONS FOR ETHIOPIA - 1936 Emperor of Ethiopia Haile Selassie I climbs the stairs to the dais and addresses the General Assembly of the League of Nations after Ethiopia is invaded by Italian forces. At the time few suspected Ethiopia's plight to be a foreshadowing of World War II.
