1930S RADIO BROADCASTER AND LISTENERS A man organizes news stories at his office desk in a 1930's radio station. An assistant hands a news story to a radio broadcaster at the microphone. People turn on their radios to listen to the news, a nurse turns the radio on for a patient.
1940'S - MEDICAL SCIENCE Nineteen forties medical research and medical science has created a product that can control hemorrhage. It coagulates in three seconds when added to blood and can control bleeding during surgery. Synthetic drugs free the human race of the fatal grasp of their ills.
1950S CANCER OPERATION & PRESERVATION OF CANCER SPECIMEN FOR RADIATION STUDIES At the New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston surgeons perform a cancer operation and take a sample of the diseased tissue so the effects of radiation from atomic power can be studied on cancer cells. Cut to the research institute adjacent to the hospital where a technician takes the tissue sample and places it in a special solution to preserve it then places it in storage for future research.
