MODEL OF SPACE SHUTTLE CHALLENGER - 1986 CU of a model of the space shuttle Challengera and an engineer's hand pointing to the struts holding the shuttle and rocket together then pull back to a wider view of the model itself. The shuttle blew apart moments after its launch on January 28th, 1986 killing everyone onboard.

MARINE DIVER MODEL TESTED Navy chief gunner G.F. Boone invents a perfect replica of a doll-sized marine diver complete with suit and air-tank. The model is tested out and will be used in training men for ocean salvage and rescue work.
AERIAL MAP MAKING - 1932 Photographer POVs as an airplane outfitted with a special camera takes flight and pictures of the terrain below are snapped. The photograpsh are developed and used to create to-scale aerial models and relief maps such as those used by the Armed Forces.
PREPARING THE NEVADA TEST SITE FOR 1955 ATOMIC BLAST EXPERIMENT - 1 Official observers arrive the day before "Operation Cue" takes place at the Nevada Test Site to test the effects of a nuclear blast. A televised interview is held with Dr. Alvin Graves, scientific advisor for bomb-testing then cut to a model of an electric substation being used in the experiment.
