The first instrument of its kind ever erected exclusively for pupils goes into operation at Ohio Wesleyan, and brings to a reality the life-long dream of Hiram Mills Perkins, late faculty member, who invested his whole savings of $250,000 in the project. Equipped with a 4,000 pound, 69 inch mirror, the telescope rivals any on the North American continent.
