WILD WATER RACE ON THE ENNS RIVER - 1932 In one of the most dangerous water sports men wearing canoe or pontoon water skis race each other through the rapids of the Enns River in Austria. Joseph Hirsch wins the race by managing to stay afloat as others end up in the water barely escaping drowning.
TRAIN & AUTOMOBILE WRECK - 1932 Clean up crews begin to clear away the still smoking wreckage of a train that hit an autombile in on the tracks. Both train and vehicle are destroyed in the tragedy.

AUTO RACING ACCIDENT - 1932 Auto racing season opens in Roby, Indiana with a spectacular crash as Dick Kroger and Bill Brooks collide. The dust clears on Kroger's flattened car as people rush to his assistance and carry him to an ambulance. The judges abruptly terminate the race leaving Billy Arnold in the lead.

AL SMITH SUPPORTS ROOSEVELT - 1932 Record crowds flock to Newark, N.J. to hear former New York governor Al Smith's public platform in support of democratic presidential candidate Franklin D. Roosevelt. Loudspeakers carry his words to more than 200,000 outside who can't fit into the building.
CORONATION OF POPE CELESTINE V RE-ENACTED - 1932 The ancient city of Aquila, Italy honors martyred Pope Celestine V with a re-enactment of his 1294 coronation at the Church of Collemaggio. Citizens wear medieval costumes representing Kings, Queens and the Papal Delegation present during the original ceremony.
BROTHERS PERFORM AQUAPLANE STUNT - 1932 Daredevil pilot Fred Jones mounts a small glider on pontoons then takes off with brother Bud hanging on underneath to skim along the surface of Lake Conway, Florida. At one point the glider dips down to the surface of the water with a great pilot POV of the water rushing past the glider.
