KIDNAPPED TACOMA BOY RETURNED Nine-year-old George P. Weyerhaeuser of Tacoma, Washington poses for the media clearly at ease with telling his story of a harrowing abduction. His family paid A $200,000 ransom for his safe return and the kidnappers were eventually caught.
INMATES ESCAPE OKLAHOMA PRISON Some 31 inmates break out of the Oklahoma State Reformatory after smuggling in two guns and threatening the guards. One group of prisoners races out of the prison only to be turned around by an armed guard while the warden Mrs. Clara Waters races out to see what can be done to contain the situation.
