CANADIAN SCHOOL SHOOTER TAKEN INTO CUSTODY Teenager Todd Cameron Smith is led into a police station past media with his face blurred to protect his identity. On April 28, 1999 Smith opened fire at W.R. Myers High School in Taber, Alberta shooting three students and killing one. Smith again made news in August 2005 when he escaped but later turned himself in.

ASTRONAUT STEVE ROBINSON REPAIRS SHUTTLE IN SPACE - 2 Beautiful aerial of Earth from NASA shuttle Discovery. MS and CU of damaged thermal blanket under one of the cockpit windows of the shuttle. NASA officials contemplated repairing the blanket following the success of astronaut Steve Robinson in repairing the heat shield of the shuttle from space. NASA decided not to repair the blanket and Discovery made a successful return to Earth August 10, 2005.
