FESTIVAL OF THE MOHACS - 1930 Hungarian villagers enjoy the Festival of the Mohacs with dances, colorful costumes and fierce masks. The annual event is said to have its origin in two events - celebrating the end of winter and an ancient victory over superstitious Turkish invaders who were frightened away with fierce horned masks and loud noises.

Over 500,000 gather in Bombay to celebrate but tensions heat up as communist mill workers try to replace the nationalist party flag with their own.
CORN HUSKING CHAMPIONSHIP - 1930 Iowa farmer Fred Stanek's hands are nothing but a blur as he captures the king of the huskers crown in 80 minutes with more than 30 bushels of corn cleaned. The annual event sees 2,213 pounds of corn husked during the competition.
