QUEEN MARY'S FINAL VOYAGE The Queen Mary completes its final voyage up the coast of California to the port of Long Beach. A fleet of small vessels, Coast Guard cutters and the aircraft carrier Yorktown make up the welcoming committee.
WASHINGTON NAVY YARD MUSEUM During Navy week, children visit the Washington Navy Yard Museum and look at displays of ships and battles fought on the sea. Twenty-four of the models President Kennedy kept in the White House are on display in the John F. Kennedy Collection including a model of the aircraft carrier Leyte and the actual deckgun from the submarine Tigrone.
AID TO VIETNAMESE FLOOD VICTIMS Helicopters from the aircraft carrier Princeton come to the aid of flood victims in South Vietnam. Bags of food are flown in to feed the many stranded and homeless Vietnamese flood victims.
TANKS CROSSING A RIVER Soviet fighter jets in the sky; tanks and armored personnel carrier convoys cross a river; helmeted soldiers fire rifles from tank gun turrets; infantry assault forces cross the river in vehicles and disembark on the other side. The following vehicles are seen: T-54, T-55 tanks, a BRDM armored amphibious scout vehicle, a PT-76 light amphibious tank, and BTR-60P armored personnel carriers.
TEMPORARY SOVIET BRIDGES Non-amphibious Soviet armored vehicles cross a river in long convoys using temporary bridges upon which uniformed soldiers are posted. A battle continues as the vehicles cross, jets fly across the sky, shells explode and plumes of smoke rise in the air.
