JACK KEVORKIAN POSTS BAIL - 1993 "Dr. Death" Jack Kevorkian is released from jail after being arrested and charged with yet again assisting someone to die. Kevorkian gained notoriety as a proponent and practitioner of euthanasia and the right to die via physician-assisted suicide for some years before he was finally tried and convicted in 1999 of second-degree homicide. He was released on parole June 1, 2007.
