MEXICAN PRESIDENT VISITS U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower warmly greets the President of Mexico, Adolfo Lopez Mateos, and his family, arriving at Washington to return President Eisenhower's visit of last February. After arrival ceremonies, Senor Lopez Mateos visits Mount Vernon, home and shrine of George Washington, to pay tribute to the father of this country.
DULLES RETURNS FROM PARIS In an unusual gesture, President Eisenhower welcomes Secretary of State John Foster Dulles at the airport in Washington, D.C. as he returns from the Paris conference which saw agreement on German sovereignty and rearmament finally achieved.
PRESIDENT GREETS JAPANESE PREMIER 20 prospective citizens are welcomed at the White House by President Eisenhower, as a prelude to later mass naturalization of 50,000 throughout the country. Later, the President greets Japan's Prime Minister Yoshida who arrives to confer on his country's Economic problems.
IWO JIMA MEMORIAL DEDICATED Solemn ceremonies in Washington, D.C. dedicate the Marine Corps War Memorial, a massive replica of the historic scene of the flag-raising on Iwo Jima. President Eisenhower and 3 survivors of the original group, including Ira Hayes, are among the many honored guests present.
