Battleship lives up to his sire Man O' War's famous heritage capturing the 100th running of the Grand National Steeplechase becoming the first American horse to do so.

record, and Chuck Fenske noses out Glenn Cunningham in the Banker's Mile.
AVIATION DAREDEVISL AT FLORIDA STATE FAIR Aviation daredevils thrill and astonish the crowds at the State Fair in Tampa, Florida. A bat-wing parachute jumper plummets to earth with a smoke grenade attached to his leg to mark his rapid descent until he finally pulls his ripcord. A pilot flying into a small structure isn't quite so lucky since the explosives for the stunt discharge before he hits the building injuring him.
MT. HOOD SKI JUMP MEET A cute young miss is crowned queen of the Pacific Northwest Championship ski meet in Mt. Hood, Oregon. After that daring ski jumpers test their balance and skill in an event where the main problem is the landing, not the flight.
FIREHOUSE SKUNK A Vancouver, Washington firehouse opts for a different black and white mascot as a friendly skunk. Backseat POV of the amazing skunk riding on the shoulder of the fire chief as they race to a fire. Citizens are less than enthusiastic but the firemen love him.
