While the horses race around the track many in the crowd hold their own race trying to get to the next spot to see the action before Cavalcade and jockey Mack Garner win in a sudden burst of speed. TIPPI HEDREN & ALFRED HITCHCOCK At Universal City, Tippi Hedren and Alfred Hitchcock get a trans-continental pigeon race off to a flying start. It's run in connection with his latest film, "The Birds." The pair arrives in New York for the movie's premiere.
