Martin Luther King Jr. leads the second Selma to Montgomery march on the Tuesday after Bloody Sunday. 2,500 participants gather at the Brown AME Chapel and then march out to the Edmund Pettus Bridge. Gathered state troopers stand by and the commanding officer reminds them of the injunction against the march. King leads a prayer and the marchers turn back and return to the church.
