THEATER RESTORATION PROJECT - 1984 - HD In 1918, Loew's Theater opened on Yonge Street in Toronto. The Elgin and Winter Garden Theatres were added a few years later. Designed by Thomas Lamb, the building is an example of stacked theaters, an architectural style from the Edwardian era.
