NEW ORLEANS MARDI GRAS PARADE New Orleans winds up it's week-long pre-Lenten celebration with a Shrove Tuesday such as makes their Mardi Gras world famous. Crowds line the streets as floats in the parade pass by.
THOUSANDS HAIL MARDI GRAS America's most colorful pageant, Mardi Gras, opens on a note of revelry and gaiety, with thousands on hand to see the spectacular parade of floats that marks the opening of the six-day carnival in New Orleans. The Mardi Gras King and Queen begin the dancing at the ball.
BRAZIL RIO DE JANEIRO CARNIVAL Carnival Mardi Gras in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. Women and men in colorful bright costumes dance in parade. Onlookers and spectators fill stands in arena and fill streets to watch event. Large colorful floats travel down streets, one float has huge mouse at the front of it. People dance in a conga line, man hits metal instrument, spectators dance through streets wearing costumes and masks. One big party!
