CONCENTRATION CAMP VICTIMS Emaciated, disfigured concentration camp survivors are liberated by American troops in Nazi Germany. A club used for torturing and disfigurement is displayed. Emaciated, twisted corpses, some bearing tatooed numbers on their abdomens, fill several trenches and are piled in mass graves. A dual oven is opened to reveal charred skeletal remains. Survivors cry and stare hollow-eyed at the camera as they're loaded via stretchers onto trucks by American soldiers. Local German peasants are forced to remove individual corpses for reburial.
NAZI PROPAGANDA Oscar nominated documentary filmmaker Malcolm Clark talks about his film, Prisoner of Paradise. The film is based on concentration camp detainee and actor / filmmaker Kurt Gerron, ordered by Nazi captors to make a propaganda film about concentration camps in 1944 Germany.
