CCNY STUDENTS PROTEST FASCISM Students at CCNY hold a protest after learning that college President Frederick Robinson has invited a delegation of students from Italy and expelled students who protested his decision. A two-headed effigy of Robinson and Mussolini is carried about then burned.
TIMES SQUARE PROTEST AGAINST HITLER Thousands gather in Times Square, NYC to protest the actions of Hitler and Nazi, Germany. Signs and enormous caricatures of Hitler are carried through the streets as the protest goes well into the night.
ZURICH SPRING FESTIVAL The Zurich Spring Festival is an elaborate affair with street parades, colorful medieval costumes and the burning of "The Boogg", a figure representing old man winter stuffed with firecrackers and set alight to celebrate the ending of winter.
FOOTAGE OF THE 1964 MURDERS OF THREE CIVIL RIGHTS WORKERS Chilling 1964 footage of the murders of three civil rights workers in Philadelphia, Mississippi. A KKK member seems unconcerned about showing his face as he casually holds up a black doll by a string around its neck, the bodies of three workers who were shot then burned in their car are loaded onto a stretcher and the car itself is moved. The incident was the basis for the movie "Mississippi Burning."

In one chilling shot, an evil looking Klansman dangles a doll effigy of an African American baby from a string.
SHAMROCK SUMMIT PROTESTED - 1985 Demonstrators picket the U.S. Consulate on University Avenue in Quebec City, Canada to protest a meeting between Canada's Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and U.S. President Ronald Reagan called the Shamrock Summit. Protestors accuse Prima Minister Mulroney of being a puppet to Reagon on defense and foreign policy issues as they carry protest signs and figures of the two leaders entwined.

1964 FOOTAGE OF MISSISSIPPI FREEDOM SUMMER - CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT Black and white 1964 footage of the "Freedom Summer" in Mississippi as white college students arrive to help end racism and segregation in the south. Students walk down the sidewalks and greet residents, a cross burns in the night set on fire by the KKK and a Klan member smokes a cigarette and mockingly holds up a black doll by a string around its neck then cut to color footage of a car sitting in the darkness from a scene out of the movie "Mississippi Burning" which recounts the murder of three young activists that fateful summer.
