MURDER TRIAL BEGINS FOR ROBERT PICKTON The first day of the murder trial for Canadian Robert Pickton begins. Photographs of six of the women murdered are laid over s blue and gold background then cut to scenes of Mr. Pickton's pig farm where evidence of the murdered women were found overlaid with a photograph of Mr. Pickton. The current trial will hear the cases of six women but there are pending charges involving many more.

CUBAN EXILES DEMONSTRATE IN WASHINGTON 8,000 Cuban exiles stage a march from the Washington Monument to the Lincoln Memorial to urge the U.S. to act against the Castro Regime in Cuba. At first the demonstration is peaceful but as the last delegates arrives for a meeting of the Organization of American States the crowd advances on the Pan-American building and the police have their hands full. BORDER PATROL OFFICER STEALS MARIJUANA An Arizona Border Patrol officer arrives at the scene of a traffic stop involving a suspect and a police officer. The Border Patrol Officer removes a bundle of marijuana from the stopped truck. The officer moves around other items in the truck to fill in the space left by the missing bundle. He then places the bundle first in the back seat and then in the trunk of his marked vehicle and subsequently leaves the scene. Please note: There is approximately 2 minutes of this footage. VAN GETS HIT BY TRAIN TWICE A driver misjudged a turn, ended up on the railroad tracks and got stuck. A man in a coffee shop saw what happened and noticed the driver was just standing there on the track. A train was coming, so the Good Samaritan to the driver and pulled him out of harm's way. The police got to the scene seconds before a commuter train slammed into the stuck minivan and threw it onto the adjacent tracks. Thirty seconds after the first impact, the minivan was hit again by a train going in the opposite direction. The van started on fire because the gas tank was hit.
