CEREMONY AT OLD FORT ERIE TO RETURN REMAINS OF AMERICAN SOLDIERS TO THE U.S. A ceremony complete with marching soldiers in uniforms from the 1800s and flag-draped caskets is held to return the remains of 28 American soldiers that were discovered at Old Fort Erie in Canada. The soldiers died in 1814 during the War of 1812 between Canad and the U.S. but were not discovered until 1987 at a Fort Erie construction site.
