NORTH AND SOUTH KOREANS MEET AFTER 50 YEARS North Korean and South Korean families meet after 50 years of separation. Meetings are the result of an agreement at the inter Korean summit in 2000. No contact between north and south is / was allowed for 50 years. Families cry as they are briefly reunited and then separated again, many people met for the last time.
