TELESCOPE AT OHIO WESLEYAN University in Delaware, Ohio installs a monster telescope for use of students. The first instrument of its kind ever erected exclusively for pupils goes into operation at Ohio Wesleyan, and brings to a reality the life-long dream of Hiram Mills Perkins, late faculty member, who invested his whole savings of $250,000 in the project. Equipped with a 4,000 pound, 69 inch mirror, the telescope rivals any on the North American continent. Operated by Dr Harlan Stetson it reveals the mysteries of the heavens to an extent undreamed of by the tyro astronomer.
