BERLIN SENDS OFF THE BOYS In Berlin at the start of WW I, troops, some on horseback, parade down city streets. Onlookers wave and cheer. One shot shows a daschund wearing a dog-sized pointy Prussian helmet. A woman leads a group of young soldiers in song. Another young woman pins a flower on a gruff soldier's lapel. Helmeted soldiers board a troop train.
