1934 WORLD SERIES The 1934 World Series starts with the Detroit Tigers' manager Mickey Cochrane shaking hands with the Saint Louis Cardinals' manager Frankie Frisch. The pitcher Dizzy Dean helped the Cardinals to win the series and angry Detroit fans throw trash onto the field.
1934 WORLD SERIES - GAME ONE The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Detroit Tigers 8 – 3 in Game One of the World Series thanks largely to Dizzy Dean’s pitching arm and Joe “Ducky” Medwick’s batting spree. After the game Dizzy correctly predicts the Cardinals will win the World Series.
