DODGERS WIN WORLD SERIES The Dodgers take the Yankees in four straight games. In the third game Junior Gilliam is brought home by Tommy Davis for the only score of the game and Don Drysdale goes on to silence the mighty Yankee bats. In the final game Frank Howard homers to put the Dodgers ahead and Mickey Mantle comes back to tie it up with another home run. Then, Gilliam reaches third on an error and is brought home with a sacrifice fly to center by Willy Davis. Then Sandy Koufax, hero of the first game, makes matchsticks out of the mighty Yankee bats. The Dodger team celebrates in the locker room.
ALSTON CONTEMPLATES SEASON WITHOUT STARS - HD As Don Drysdale and Sandy Koufax continue a joint holdout, Los Angeles Dodgers manager Walter Alston says the future is unknown. Alston also talks about his hopes for star Tommy Davis, who had been injured the previous season.
